Στην αρχή της κρίσης οι κλίνες ΜΕΘ στη Χώρα ήταν 565 και δεν υπήρχε διαθεσιμότητα για πιθανό περιστατικό COVID-19. Σήμερα, μετά από αναδιοργάνωση, ο συνολικός αριθμός ΜΕΘ αποκλειστικά για την αντιμετώπιση COVID-19 περιστατικών σήμερα (είναι 293, εκ των οποίων οι 179 είναι διαθέσιμες (στοιχεία της 04.04.2020). Καταβάλλεται προσπάθεια για τη συνεχή αύξηση του αριθμού των διαθέσιμων κλινών ΜΕΘ.
